Building Trust?

“Trust always affects outcomes – speed and cost. When trust goes up, speed will also go up, and costs will go down. When trust goes down, speed will also go down and costs go up”   The Speed of Trust by Steven Covey.

Is this seesaw true? Strikes me it is and there is even more collateral damage.  When you don’t trust your supervisor/manager/leader you will keep things back, tentative with your opinions and be guarded with your ideas. Progress and change is slow and difficult as a consequence.

Leaders build trust when they authentically live with true north values concerned to build the organisation and build the people – day by day.
